अथर्ववेद (कांड 20)
ए॒वा म॒हान्बृ॒हद्दि॑वो॒ अथ॒र्वावो॑च॒त्स्वां त॒न्वमिन्द्र॑मे॒व । स्वसा॑रौ मात॒रिभ्व॑री अरि॒प्रे हि॒न्वन्ति॑ चैने॒ शव॑सा व॒र्धय॑न्ति च ॥ (१२)
महर्षि अथर्वा ने अपनेआप को इंद्र मानते हुए कहा कि पाप रहित मातर और इभ्वरी दोनों बहनें इसे प्रसन्न करती हुई बल की वृद्धि करती हैं. (१२)
Maharishi Atharva considered himself to be Indra and said that both the sinless Matar and Imhvari sisters increase the strength by pleasing it. (12)
