अथर्ववेद (कांड 5)
यत्ते॒ अपो॑दकं वि॒षं तत्त॑ ए॒तास्व॑ग्रभम् । गृ॒ह्णामि॑ ते मध्य॒ममु॑त्त॒मं रस॑मु॒ताव॒मं भि॒यसा॑ नेश॒दादु॑ ते ॥ (२)
जल को दूषित करने वाला तेरा जो विष है, उसे मैं ने भीतर ही रोक लिया है. तेरे उत्तम और मध्यम रस अर्थात् विष को मैं ग्रहण करता हूं. वह रस अर्थात् तेरा विष नष्ट हो जाए. (२)
I have stopped the poison that you have that pollutes the water within. I receive your best and medium juice, that is, poison. That juice means that your poison is destroyed. (2)
