हे दुदुंभि! तू शत्रुओं में वैमनस्य फैला एवं उन के हृदयों में एकदूसरे के प्रति द्वेष भर दे हम अपने शत्रुओं में द्वेष की भावना फैलाना चाहते हैं. तू उन का तिरस्कार करती हुई उन्हें समाप्त कर दे. (१)
O milk! You spread disharmony among the enemies and fill their hearts with hatred towards each other, we want to spread a sense of malice among our enemies. You despise them and finish them. (1)
हे वनस्पति से बनी हुई दुदुंभी! तू चमड़े से मढ़ी हुई है तथा मेघ घटा के समान घोर शब्द करती है. घी से चुपड़ी हुई तू शत्रुओं को भय उत्पन्न करने वाला शब्द कर. (३)
O milkmine made of vegetation! You are covered with leather and say a very loud word like cloud ghata. You are silenced with ghee, make the words that create fear to the enemies. (3)
हे दुदुंभि! वनचारी शिकारी पुरुष से जिस प्रकार वन के पशु भयभीत होते हैं, उसी प्रकार तू अपने गर्जन से शत्रुओं को भयभीत करती हुई, उन के चित्तों को मोहित बना. (४)
O milk! Just as the animals of the forest are afraid of the forester hunter, in the same way, you have captivated the minds of the enemies, frightening the enemies with your roar. (4)
जिस प्रकार भेड़ें और बकरियां भेड़िए के कारण अधिक भयभीत हो कर भागती हैं, उसी प्रकार तू गड़गड़ाहट करती हुई शत्रुओं को भयभीत कर के उन का चित्त मोहित कर. (५)
Just as sheep and goats run away more frightened by wolves, so you frighten the thundering enemies and fascinate them. (5)
हे दुदुंभि! जिस प्रकार बाज से सभी पक्षी और सिंह से सभी प्राणी भयभीत रहते हैं, उसी प्रकार तू शत्रुओं के प्रति गड़गड़ाहट कर के उन्हें भयभीत कर के उन के चित्तों को मोहित कर. (६)
O milk! Just as all birds are afraid of the eagle and all beings are afraid of the lion, so you rumble towards the enemies and frighten them and fascinate their minds. (6)
