हे वृक्ष से बने हुए रस! तेरे अंग दृढ़ हों. तू हमारा सखा, शत्रुओं से हमें पार करने वाला और शोभन वीरों से युक्त है. तू गाय के चर्म से बनी हुई रस्सियों से बंधे होने के कारण दृढ़ हो. तुझ पर बैठा हुआ पुरुष शत्रुओं को जीतने वाला हो. (१)
O juice made from the tree! May your limbs be firm. You are our friend, the one who crosses us with enemies and the one with the heroes of Shobhan. You are firm because the cow is tied to ropes made of skin. The man sitting on you is going to conquer enemies. (1)
हे रस! तेरा बल आकाश के पास से प्राप्त हुआ है. सार वाले वृक्षों से प्राप्त बल ही यह रथ है. जलों का बल एवं गाय के चर्म से बनी रस्सियों से ढका हुआ यह रथ इंद्र के वज्र के समान गति वाला हो. हे होता! इस प्रकार के रथ का हव्य से यजन करो. (२)
O juice! Your strength has come from near the sky. This chariot is the strength derived from the trees with essence. Covered with the force of water and ropes made of cow's skin, this chariot should have the same speed as Indra's thunderbolt. He was! Use this type of chariot with lust. (2)
हे दिव्य गुणों से युक्त रथ! तुम इंद्र के बल, मरुतों की सेना, मित्र अर्थात् सूर्य के गर्भ और वरुण की नाभि हो. इस प्रकार के तुम हमारी यज्ञ क्रिया की सेवा करते हुए हवि को ग्रहण करो. (३)
