अथर्ववेद (कांड 6)
दो॒षो गा॑य बृ॒हद्गा॑य द्यु॒मद्धे॑ह्याथ॑र्वण । स्तु॒हि दे॒वं स॑वि॒तार॑म् ॥ (१)
हे अथर्वा ऋषि के पुत्र दध्यङ्ऋषि! स्तुति के योग्य एवं विशाल साम मंत्रों का रातदिन अर्थात् हर समय गुणगान करो तथा उन के द्वारा हमें धन युक्त बनाओ. हे स्तुति करने वाले दध्यङ् ऋषि! तुम अपने नाम मंत्रों द्वारा दानादि गुणों से संपन्न सविता देव की स्तुति करो. (१)
O Son of Atharva Rishi, Dadhyan rishi! Praise the worthy and huge mantras of praise, that is, all the time, and make us rich through them. O sage of praise! Praise Savita Dev, endowed with danadi qualities, through your name mantras. (1)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 6)
तमु॑ ष्टुहि॒ यो अ॒न्तः सिन्धौ॑ सू॒नुः स॒त्यस्य॒ युवा॑न॒म् । अद्रो॑घवाचं सु॒शेव॑म् ॥ (२)
हे स्तुति करने वाले! उन्हीं सविता देव की स्तुति करो जो ब्रह्म के प्रथम पुत्र हैं एवं जो प्रवाहशील सागर से उदित होते दिखाई देते हैं. वे नित्य तरुण, रात्रि के अंधकार का विनाश करने वाले एवं शोभन वचन उच्चारण करने वाले हैं. (२)
O one who praises! Praise the same Savita Dev who is the first son of Brahman and who appears to rise from the flowing ocean. He is the constant youth, the destroyer of the darkness of the night and the one who utters the words of grace. (2)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 6)
स घा॑ नो दे॒वः स॑वि॒ता सा॑विषद॒मृता॑नि॒ भूरि॑ । उ॒भे सु॑ष्टु॒ती सु॒गात॑वे ॥ (३)
वे ही सविता देव हमें अमर बनाने के साधन यज्ञों अधिक मात्रा में देवों को प्राप्त कराएं एवं हमें मृत्यु विरोधी बल प्रदान करें. वे सविता देव हमें शोभन स्तुति के साधन दोनों प्रकार के रथंतर साम गान हेतु प्रेरित करें. (३)
It is savita dev to make us immortal, get more quantity of gods in yagyas and give us anti-death force. May Savita Dev inspire us to sing both types of Rathantar Sama as a means of Shobhan praise. (3)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 6)
इन्द्रा॑य॒ सोम॑मृत्विजः सु॒नोता च॑ धावत । स्तो॒तुर्यो वचः॑ शृ॒णव॒द्धवं॑ च मे ॥ (१)
हे अध्वर्यु आदि ऋत्विजो! इंद्र के लिए सोम को निचोड़ो और निचोड़े गए सोम का दशापवित्र के द्वारा सभी प्रकार शोधन करो. वे इंद्र मुझ स्तोता के स्तुति लक्षण आह्वान को सुनें तथा आदरपूर्वक जानें. (१)
O Adhwaryu Adi Ritvijo! Squeeze the soma for Indra and refine the squeezed soma in all ways through the dashapavitra. They should listen to indra mujh stota's praise ishta call and know respectfully. (1)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 6)
आ यं वि॒शन्तीन्द॑वो॒ वयो॒ न वृ॒क्षमन्ध॑सः । विर॑प्शि॒न्वि मृधो॑ जहि रक्ष॒स्विनीः॑ ॥ (२)
जिस प्रकार पक्षी अपने निवास वाले वृक्ष पर स्वेच्छा से शीघ्र पहुंच जाते हैं, उसी प्रकार सोम इंद्र के शरीर में शक्ति उत्पादक के रूप में स्वयं पहुंच जाते हैं. हे महान इंद्र! सोम पान से उत्तेजित हो कर हमें बाधा पहुंचाने वाले सैनिकों से युक्त एवं युद्ध करती हुई शत्रु सेनाओं का विनाश करो. (२)
Just as birds voluntarily reach the tree they live in quickly, so Soma himself reaches Indra's body as a power producer. O great Indra! Get agitated by Som Pan and destroy the enemy armies with soldiers who obstruct us and fight. (2)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 6)
सु॒नोता॑ सोम॒पाव्ने॒ सोम॒मिन्द्रा॑य व॒ज्रिणे॑ । युवा॒ जेतेशा॑नः॒ स पु॑रुष्टु॒तः ॥ (३)
हे अध्वर्युगण! सोमपान के लिए उत्सुक एवं हाथ में वज्र धारण करने वाले इंद्र के लिए सोमरस निचोड़ो. वे इंद्र नित्य तरुण, विजयी, सारे संसार के समीप तथा बहुत से यजमानों द्वारा प्रशंसित हैं. (३)
O Adhwaryugan! Squeeze someras for Indra, who is eager for sompan and holds a thunderbolt in his hand. He is always young, victorious, close to the whole world and admired by many hosts. (3)
अथर्ववेद (कांड 6)
पा॒तं न॑ इन्द्रापूष॒णादि॑तिः पान्तु म॒रुतः॑ । अपां॑ नपात्सिन्धवः स॒प्त पा॑तन॒ पातु॑ नो॒ विष्णु॑रु॒त द्यौः ॥ (१)
हे इंद्र और पूषादेव! हमारी रक्षा करो. देवमाता अदिति हमारी रक्षा करें. उनचास मरुद्गण हमारी रक्षा करें. अपानपात अर्थात् जल को ईधन बनाने वाले अग्नि देव एवं सात सागर हमारी रक्षा करें. विष्णु एवं आकाश हमारी रक्षा करें. आहवनीय अग्नि और अग्नि की सुखकर तथा राक्षसों द्वारा दिए हुए दुःख से रक्षक किरणें हमारी रक्षा करें. (१)
O Indra and Pushadeva! Protect us. Devmata Aditi protect us. Let the forty-nine marudas protect us. May the agni god and the seven oceans, who make water fuel, protect us. May Vishnu and sky protect us. May the happy rays of the callous agni and agni and the protectors protect us from the suffering given by the demons. (1)

पा॒तां नो॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी अ॒भिष्ट॑ये॒ पातु॒ ग्रावा॒ पातु॒ सोमो॑ नो॒ अंह॑सः । पातु॑ नो दे॒वी सु॒भगा॒ सर॑स्वती॒ पात्व॒ग्निः शि॒वा ये अ॑स्य पा॒यवः॑ ॥ (२)
द्यावा और पृथ्वी अभिमत फल पाने के लिए हमारी रक्षा करें. सोमरस कुचलने का पत्थर और सोमरस पाप से हमारी रक्षा करे. सौभाग्ययुक्त देवी सरस्वती हमारी रक्षा करे. अग्नि हमारी रक्षा करे, जिनकी किरणें हमें पवित्र करती हैं. (२)
Protect us to get the fruits of the sun and the earth. May Someras be a stone of crushing and Someras protect us from sin. May the fortunate Goddess Saraswati protect us. May agni protect us, whose rays sanctify us. (2)
