हे रथजिता अर्थात् माष नाम की जड़ीबूटी! अपने वाहन रथ से विश्व को जीतने वाली एवं विशेष वैराग्य उत्पन्न करने वाली अप्सराओं से संबंधित स्मर अर्थात् कामदेव को दूर करो. हे देव! उस कामदेव को इस नारी के समीप भेजो. मुझ से विमुख यह स्त्री कामदेव से पीड़ित हो कर मेरी याद कर के दुःखी हो. (१)
O Rathjita i.e. a herb named Mash! Remove the smar i.e. Kamadeva related to the apsaras who conquer the world and create special detachment with your vehicle chariot. O God! Send that Cupid near this woman. This woman, who is alienated from me, is suffering from Cupid and is sad to remember me. (1)
यह पुरुष मेरा स्मरण करे तथा मेरे प्रति अनुराग पूर्ण हो कर मेरा स्मरण करे. हे देव! इस के प्रति कामदेव को भेजो, जिस से यह मेरा स्मरण करे और मेरे स्मरण के कारण दुःखी हो. (२)
May this man remember me and remember me with full affection for me. O God! Send Cupid towards this, that he may remember me and be sad because of my remembrance. (2)
जिस प्रकार यह दुष्टा स्त्री मेरा स्मरण करती है, उस प्रकार आर्त हो कर मैं कभी भी इस स्त्री का स्मरण नहीं करता हूं. हे देवो! कामदेव को इस की ओर भेजो, जिस से यह मेरा स्मरण करे और मेरे स्मरण के कारण दुख का अनुभव करे. (३)
Just as this evil woman remembers me, I never remember this woman. O God! Send Cupid towards him, so that he may remember me and experience sorrow because of my remembrance. (3)
हे मरुदगण! इस स्त्री को मतवाली बनाओ. हे आकाश! तुम भी इसे मतवाली बना कर मेरे वश में करो. हे अग्नि देव! तुम इसे मतवाली बनाओ, जिस से यह अपनेआप को भूल कर मेरा चिंतन करे. (४)
O Marudagan! Make this woman drunk. O sky! You also make it drunk and subdue me. O God of Agni! You make it matwali, so that it forgets itself and thinks of me. (4)
