अथर्ववेद (कांड 6)
निर्ब॒लासं॑ बला॒सिनः॑ क्षि॒णोमि॑ मुष्क॒रं य॑था । छि॒नद्म्य॑स्य॒ बन्ध॑नं॒ मूल॑मुर्वा॒र्वा इ॑व ॥ (२)
जिस प्रकार सरोवर से कमल उखाड़ा जाता है, उसी प्रकार मैं इस रोगी पुरुष के श्लेष्मा रोग को जड़ से नष्ट करता हूं. जिस प्रकार पकी हुई ककड़ी अपने नाल से अपनेआप अलग हो जाती है, उसी प्रकार मैं इस रोगी के श्लेष्मा रोग का बंधन तोड़ता हूं. (२)
Just as the lotus is uprooted from the lake, I destroy the mucous disease of this patient man from the root. Just as cooked cucumber automatically separates from its placenta, I break the bond of this patient's mucous disease. (2)
