हजार आंखों वाले इंद्र शाप क्रिया के कर्ता होते हुए अपने रथ में घोड़े जोड़ कर हमारे समीप आएं. जिस प्रकार भेड़ों के स्वामी के घर में भेड़िया जाता है, उसी प्रकार वह मुझे शाप देने वाले शत्रु को मारें. (१)
The thousand-eyed Indra, being the doer of the curse action, joined horses in his chariot and came near us. Just as a wolf goes into the house of the swami of sheep, so let him kill the enemy who curses me. (1)
हे शपथ! तू हमारा वध मत कर. तू अग्नि के समान हमारे शत्रुओं के कुल को जला. आकाश से गिरा हुआ वज्र जिस प्रकार वृक्ष को न्ट कर देता है, उसी प्रकार तू इस देश में हमें शाप देने वाले शत्रु का विनाश कर. (२)
O oath! Don't kill us. You burn the clan of our enemies like agni. Just as a thunderbolt fallen from the sky destroys the tree, so destroy the enemy who curses us in this land. (2)
जो शत्रु हम शाप न देने वालों को कठोर वचनों के द्वारा शाप दे तथा जो हम शाप देने वालों को शाप दे, उन दोनों को हम इस प्रकार मृत्यु के आगे फेंकते हैं, जैसे कुत्ते के आगे रोटी डाली जाती है. (३)
The enemies who curse those who do not curse us through harsh words and those who curse us curse, we throw them both before death, as if bread is poured in front of a dog. (3)
