हमारे द्वारा इंद्र के उद्देश्य से दी हुई अपरिमित सामर्थ्य से युक्त, भलीभांति वर्तमान एवं हजारों को पराजित करने वाले बल को देने वाली हवि की वृद्धि हो. हे इंद्र! उस हवि की वृद्धि के पश्चात मुझ हवि देने वाले यजमान को चिरकाल तक होने वाले दर्शन और श्रेष्ठता के लिए बढ़ाओ. (१)

अच्छा॑ न॒ इन्द्रं॑ य॒शसं॒ यशो॑भिर्यश॒स्विनं॑ नमसा॒ना वि॑धेम । स नो॑ रास्व रा॒ष्ट्रमिन्द्र॑जूतं॒ तस्य॑ ते रा॒तौ य॒शसः॑ स्याम ॥ (२)
सामने वर्तमान, यश देने वाले एवं अधिक यशस्वी इंद्र को हम नमस्कार आदि के द्वारा पूजते हुए उन की सेवा करते हैं. हे इंद्र! तुम हमें अपने द्वारा प्रेरित राज्य प्रदान करो. तुम्हारे उस दान से हम यशस्वी बनें. (२)
