संसार की माता जलदेवी हमें शुद्ध करे तथा अपने द्रव रूप रस से हमें पवित्र करे, क्योंकि देवता रूप जल स्नान, आचमन एवं प्रक्षेपण आदि करने वाले के सभी पापों को धोते हैं, इसीलिए ऐसे जलों में स्नान कर के मैं पवित्र हो कर यज्ञ कर्म के हेतु उपस्थित होता हूं. (२)
May the mother of the world, Jaldevi, purify us and sanctify us with her liquid form juice, because the deity washes all the sins of the person who bathes, bathes in water bathing, achaman and projection etc., that is why by bathing in such waters, I become pure and appear for yagya karma. (2)
यत्किं चे॒दं व॑रुण॒ दैव्ये॒ जने॑ऽभिद्रो॒हं म॑नु॒ष्या॒श्चर॑न्ति । अचि॑त्त्या॒ चेत्तव॒ धर्मं॑ युयोपि॒म मा न॒स्तस्मा॒देन॑सो देव रीरिषः ॥ (३)
हे जलों के स्वामी वरुण देव! मनुष्यगण जो पाप करते हैं तथा हम सब भी अज्ञान के कारण तुम से संबंधित धर्मो के विपरीत जो कार्य करते हैं, उस अज्ञान जनित पाप के कारण हमारी हिंसा मत करो. (३)
O Swami of waters Varun Dev! Do not violence the sins that human beings commit and the work that we all do against the dharmas related to you due to ignorance, because of that ignorance-caused sin. (3)
