अथर्ववेद: | सूक्त: 71
यन्मा॑ हु॒तमहु॑तमाज॒गाम॑ द॒त्तं पि॒तृभि॒रनु॑मतं मनु॒ष्यैः । यस्मा॑न्मे॒ मन॒ उदि॑व॒ रार॑जीत्य॒ग्निष्टद्धोता॒ सुहु॑तं कृणोतु ॥ (२)
होम के द्वारा संस्कार वाला और इस से विपरीत जो धन मुझे प्राप्त हुआ है, वह पितृ देवों द्वारा मुझे उपभोग के लिए दिया गया है. मनुष्यों ने उस के उपभोग की अनुमति दी है. जिस धन के कारण मेरा मन हर्ष की अधिकता से उद्दीप्त रहता है, अग्नि देव की कृपा से वह धन मुझ यजमान के लिए दोषरहित हो. (२)
The wealth that I have received from the sacrament through the home and vice versa has been given to me by the father gods for consumption. Humans have allowed the consumption of it. The wealth due to which my mind is stimulated by the excess of joy, by the grace of Agni Dev, that money should be blameless for me. (2)
