हे बांधवो! तुम्हारे हृदयों में जो शीर्षक बल है और तुम्हारे मन में जो सब कुछ प्राप्त करने की अभिलाषा है, मैं हवन किए जाते हुए इस हवि के द्वारा बल और उस अभिलाषा को परस्पर संबंधित करता हूं. तुम्हारी अनुकूल प्रवृत्ति मुझ सौमनस्य के इच्छुक पुरुष को प्राप्त हो. (२)

हे बांधवो! आप मेरे घर में प्रेम से निवास करें तथा यहां से कहीं न जाएं. यदि तुम मेरे प्रतिकूल आचरण करो तो सविता देव तुम्हारा मार्ग रोकें. घरों के पालक देव वाष्तोस्पति तुम्हें मेरे लिए बुलाएं. सौमनस्य के इच्छुक मुझ यजमान के प्रति तुम्हारी अनुकूल प्रवृत्ति हो. (३)
