अथर्ववेद (कांड 6)
यो वः॒ शुष्मो॒ हृद॑येष्व॒न्तराकू॑ति॒र्या वो॒ मन॑सि॒ प्रवि॑ष्टा । तान्त्सी॑वयामि ह॒विषा॑ घृ॒तेन॒ मयि॑ सजाता र॒मति॑र्वो अस्तु ॥ (२)
हे बांधवो! तुम्हारे हृदयों में जो शीर्षक बल है और तुम्हारे मन में जो सब कुछ प्राप्त करने की अभिलाषा है, मैं हवन किए जाते हुए इस हवि के द्वारा बल और उस अभिलाषा को परस्पर संबंधित करता हूं. तुम्हारी अनुकूल प्रवृत्ति मुझ सौमनस्य के इच्छुक पुरुष को प्राप्त हो. (२)
O bind! The title force in your hearts and the desire to achieve everything in your mind, I interrelated the force and that desire through this havi while performing havan. May your favorable attitude be attained by a man desirous of harmony. (2)
