कौआ, कबूतर आदि घात करने की इच्छा से बारबार देखते हुए इस पुरुष के शरीर पर गिरते हैं. हे अग्नि! इस दोष को शांत करने के लिए हम स्वर्ग में रहने वाले श्वान के तेज की हवि से तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं. (१)

कालकांज नाम के जो तीन असुर उत्तम कमो के कारण देवों के समान स्वर्ग में वर्तमान हैं, मैं इस पुरुष की रक्षा के लिए तथा कौए, कबूतर आदि पक्षियों के आघात संबंधी दोष की भीति के निमित्त सभी कालकांज असुरों का आह्वान करता हूं. (२)

हे अग्नि, वाडवाग्नि के रूप में तुम्हारा जन्म सागर में हुआ था तथा सूर्य के रूप में तुम्हारी स्थिति आकाश में रही है. सागर और धरती के मध्य तुम्हारी महिमा देखी जाती है. हे अग्नि! हम हवि के द्वारा तुम्हारी सेवा करते हैं. (३)
