अथर्ववेद (कांड 7)
यस्यो॒रुषु॑ त्रि॒षु वि॒क्रम॑णेष्वधिक्षि॒यन्ति॒ भुव॑नानि॒ विश्वा॑ । उ॒रु वि॑ष्णो॒ वि क्र॑मस्वो॒रु क्षया॑य नस्कृधि । घृ॒तं घृ॑तयोने पिब॒ प्रप्र॑ य॒ज्ञप॑तिं तिर ॥ (३)
उन विष्णु के तीन विस्तृत चरण विक्षेपों में सभी भुवन एवं प्राणी निवास करते हैं. हे व्यापक विष्णु! तीनों लोकों में अपने तीन चरण रखने का पराक्रम करो तथा हमारे निवास स्थान को धन संयुक्त बनाओ. हे घृत के कारण रूप विष्णु! यह हवन किया जाता हुआ घृत पियो तथा यज्ञ के स्वामी यजमान की वृद्धि करो. विष्णु ने इस विश्व में विक्रम का प्रदर्शन किया है. उन्होंने तीन बार अपने चरण स्थापित किए हैं. इन विष्णु के तीन चरण विक्षेपों में सारा विश्व स्थापित है. All bhuvanas and creatures reside in the three wide phase deflections of those Vishnu. O broad Vishnu! Do the power to keep your three feet in the three worlds and make our place of residence a wealth joint. O Vishnu, the form of Ghrita! Drink this havan while being performed and increase the swami of the yajna. Vishnu has demonstrated Vikram in this world. He has set his feet three times. The whole world is established in these three phase deflections of Vishnu. (3)
