हे अमावस्या! तुम्हारे महत्त्व के कारण निवास करते हुए फल की कामना करने वाले लोग तुम्हें हवि देते हैं. हमें वह फल प्राप्त हो और हम धनों के स्वामी बनें, पूर्ण चंद्र से युक्त पौर्णमासी पश्चिम दिशा में विजयी होती है तथा पूर्व दिशा में विजय प्राप्त करती है. (१)
O New Moon! Because of your importance, people who wish for fruit while living give you strength. May we get that fruit and become the swami of wealth, the full moon-filled Ponnmasi wins in the west direction and wins in the east direction. (1)
मैं ही अमावस्या संबंधी देव हूं. शोभन कर्मों वाले देवयज्ञ योग्यता के कारण मुझ में निवास करते हैं. साध्य और सिद्ध नामक दोनों प्रकार के इंद्र आदि देव मुझ से मिलते हैं. (२)
I am the god of Amavasya. The devayagyas with shobhan karma reside in me due to merit. Both Indra adi dev called Sadhya and Siddha meet me. (2)
हे अमावस्या! तेरे अतिरिक्त कोई भी देव इस समय वर्तमान समस्त साकार प्राणियों में व्याप्त होने वाला नहीं है. हम जिस फल की कामना करते हुए तुम्हें हवि देते हैं, हमें वह फल प्राप्त हो और हम धनों के स्वामी बनें. (४)
O New Moon! Apart from you, no God is going to pervade all the present beings at this time. May we receive the fruit we desire and become the masters of wealth. (4)
