यमीं॒ द्वा सव॑यसा सप॒र्यतः॑ समा॒ने योना॑ मिथु॒ना समो॑कसा । दिवा॒ न नक्तं॑ पलि॒तो युवा॑जनि पु॒रू चर॑न्न॒जरो॒ मानु॑षा यु॒गा ॥ (४)
समान अवस्था वाले, समान यज्ञ में वर्तमान एवं पति-पत्नी के समान यज्ञरूपी एक ही काम में लगे हुए होता और अध्वर्यु जिन अग्नि की रात-दिन उपासना करते हैं, वे वृद्ध हैं अथवा युवा, पर उन दोनों व्यक्तियों का हव्य भक्षण करके जरारहित होते हैं. (४)
In the same state, in the same yajna, the present and the same as the husband and wife, the sacrificial one is engaged in the same work, and the fire that Adhwaryu worships day and night is old or young, but he is without eating the heart of those two persons. (4)
