तमीं॑ हिन्वन्ति धी॒तयो॒ दश॒ व्रिशो॑ दे॒वं मर्ता॑स ऊ॒तये॑ हवामहे । धनो॒रधि॑ प्र॒वत॒ आ स ऋ॑ण्वत्यभि॒व्रज॑द्भिर्व॒युना॒ नवा॑धित ॥ (५)
दस उंगलियां परस्पर अलग होकर प्रकाशमान अग्नि को प्रसन्न करती हैं एवं हम यजमान लोग जिन्हें अपनी रक्षा के लिए बुलाते हैं, वे अग्नि चिनगारियों को उसी प्रकार बिखेरते हैं, जिस प्रकार धनुष से बाण छूटते हैं. अग्नि चारों ओर घूमते हुए यजमानों की नवीन स्तुतियों को धारण करते हैं. (५)
The ten fingers separate from each other and please the blazing fire and the hosts whom we call upon to protect us scatter the fire sparks in the same way as the arrows are released from the bow. The fire revolves around and holds the new praises of the hosts. (5)
