प्रति॒ त्यं चारु॑मध्व॒रं गो॑पी॒थाय॒ प्र हू॑यसे । म॒रुद्भि॑रग्न॒ आ ग॑हि ॥ (१)
हे अग्नि! तुम इस सुंदर यज्ञ में सोमपान करने के लिए बुलाए जा रहे हो, इसलिए तुम मरुद्गणों के साथ आओ. (१)
O fire! You are being called to sompan in this beautiful yajna, so you come with the marudgans. (1)

न॒हि दे॒वो न मर्त्यो॑ म॒हस्तव॒ क्रतुं॑ प॒रः । म॒रुद्भि॑रग्न॒ आ ग॑हि ॥ (२)
हे महान् अग्नि देव! तुम्हारा यज्ञ और उसे करने वाले मनुष्य सर्वश्रेष्ठ हैं. उनसे बढ़कर कोई नहीं है. तुम मरुद्गणों के साथ आओ. (२)
O great Agni deva! Your yajna and the human beings who do it are the best. There is no one better than them. You come with the marudganas. (2)

ये म॒हो रज॑सो वि॒दुर्विश्वे॑ दे॒वासो॑ अ॒द्रुहः॑ । म॒रुद्भि॑रग्न॒ आ ग॑हि ॥ (३)
हे अग्नि! जो मरुद्गण तेजस्वी एवं द्वेषरहित हैं, जो अधिक मात्रा में जल की वर्षा करना जानते हैं, तुम उनके साथ आओ. (३)
O fire! Those deserters who are bright and hateless, who know how to rain more water, come with them. (3)

य उ॒ग्रा अ॒र्कमा॑नृ॒चुरना॑धृष्टास॒ ओज॑सा । म॒रुद्भि॑रग्न॒ आ ग॑हि ॥ (४)
हे अग्नि! जो मरुद्गण उग्र एवं इतने बलशाली हैं कि कोई उनका तिरस्कार नहीं कर सकता. उन्होंने जल की वर्षा की है. तुम उनके साथ आओ. (४)
O fire! The deserts who are fierce and so powerful that no one can despise them. They have rained water. You come with them. (4)

ये शु॒भ्रा घो॒रव॑र्पसः सुक्ष॒त्रासो॑ रि॒शाद॑सः । म॒रुद्भि॑रग्न॒ आ ग॑हि ॥ (५)
जो शोभासंपन्न होने के साथ-साथ उग्र रूपधारी भी हैं, जो शोभन धन संपन्न एवं शत्रुनाशक हैं. हे अग्नि देव! तुम उन मरुदगणों के साथ आओ. (५)
Those who are adorned with splendour as well as those who are fierce, who are rich in wealth and hostile. O God of fire! You come with those deserters. (5)

ये नाक॒स्याधि॑ रोच॒ने दि॒वि दे॒वास॒ आस॑ते । म॒रुद्भि॑रग्न॒ आ ग॑हि ॥ (६)
हे अग्नि देव! जो मरुद्गण आकाश के ऊपर वर्तमान प्रकाशपूर्ण स्वर्ग में शोभायमान हैं, तुम उनके साथ आओ. (६)
O God of fire! Those deserts who are adorned in the present luminous heaven above the sky, come with them. (6)

य ई॒ङ्खय॑न्ति॒ पर्व॑तान्ति॒रः स॑मु॒द्रम॑र्ण॒वम् । म॒रुद्भि॑रग्न॒ आ ग॑हि ॥ (७)
हे अग्नि! जो मरुद्गण उग्र मेघों को चलाते हैं और सागर की जलराशि को तरंगित करते हैं, तुम उनके साथ आओ. (७)
O fire! Those who run the deserts that run the furious clouds and wave the waters of the ocean, come with them. (7)

आ ये त॒न्वन्ति॑ र॒श्मिभि॑स्ति॒रः स॑मु॒द्रमोज॑सा । म॒रुद्भि॑रग्न॒ आ ग॑हि ॥ (८)
हे अग्नि देव! जो मरुद्गण सूर्यकिरणों के साथ-साथ सारे आकाश में फैले हुए हैं और जो अपनी शक्ति से सागर के जल को चंचल बनाते हैं, तुम उनके साथ आओ. (८)
O God of fire! Those deserts who are spread all over the sky along with the sun rays and who make the waters of the sea fickle with their power, come with them. (8)
