एहि॒ मनु॑र्देव॒युर्य॒ज्ञका॑मोऽरं॒कृत्या॒ तम॑सि क्षेष्यग्ने । सु॒गान्प॒थः कृ॑णुहि देव॒याना॒न्वह॑ ह॒व्यानि॑ सुमन॒स्यमा॑नः ॥ (५)
देवों ने कहा-“हे अग्नि! आओ, यजमान देवों का अभिलाषी एवं यज्ञ करने का इच्छुक है. तुम तेजपुंज को धारण करते हुए भी अंधकार में हो. देवों के प्रति आने वाले लोगों का मार्ग सरल बनाओ एवं प्रसन्नचित्त होकर हव्य-वहन करो. (५)
The gods said, "O agni! Come, the host desires the gods and is willing to perform yajna. You are in darkness even while holding the radiant mass. Make the way of those who come towards the gods easy and be happy and carry the greetings. (5)
