ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
अग्ने॑ दि॒वः सू॒नुर॑सि॒ प्रचे॑ता॒स्तना॑ पृथि॒व्या उ॒त वि॒श्ववे॑दाः । ऋध॑ग्दे॒वाँ इ॒ह य॑जा चिकित्वः ॥ (१)
हे सर्वविषयज्ञाता तथा यज्ञकर्म के ज्ञान से युक्त अग्नि! तुम आकाश तथा धरती के पुत्र हो. हे चेतनाशील अग्नि! तुम इस यज्ञ में अलग-अलग हवि देकर देवों का आदर करो. (१)
O agni with the knowledge of omniscientism and yajnakarma! You are the sons of the heavens and the earth. O conscious agni! You should honor the gods by giving different havans in this yajna. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
अ॒ग्निः स॑नोति वी॒र्या॑णि वि॒द्वान्स॒नोति॒ वाज॑म॒मृता॑य॒ भूष॑न् । स नो॑ दे॒वाँ एह व॑हा पुरुक्षो ॥ (२)
अग्नि स्वयं को विभूषित करके यजमान को सामर्थ्य तथा देवों को अन्न देते हैं. हे बहुविध अन्नयुक्त अग्नि! हमारे कल्याण के निमित्त देवों को इस यज्ञ में लाओ. (२)
By decorating itself, the agni gives power to the host and food to the gods. O multi-grained agni! Bring the gods to this yagna for the sake of our welfare. (2)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
अ॒ग्निर्द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी वि॒श्वज॑न्ये॒ आ भा॑ति दे॒वी अ॒मृते॒ अमू॑रः । क्षय॒न्वाजैः॑ पुरुश्च॒न्द्रो नमो॑भिः ॥ (३)
सर्वज्ञ, समस्त विश्व के स्वामी, अमित प्रकाशयुक्त, बल एवं अन्नसहित अग्नि संसार को जन्म देने वाले, द्योतमान और मरणरहित धरती-आकाश को प्रकाशित करते हैं. (३)
The omniscient, the lord of the whole universe, Amita, illuminates the world of light, giving birth to the agni world with force and food, symbolizing and dying-free earth-sky. (3)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
अग्न॒ इन्द्र॑श्च दा॒शुषो॑ दुरो॒णे सु॒ताव॑तो य॒ज्ञमि॒होप॑ यातम् । अम॑र्धन्ता सोम॒पेया॑य देवा ॥ (४)
हे अग्नि! इंद्र के साथ यहां आकर यज्ञ की हिंसा न करते हुए सोम निचोड़ने वाले यजमान के घर में सोम पीने के लिए आओ. (४)
O agni! Come here with Indra and drink som in the house of the host who squeezes the som without doing the violence of yajna. (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 3)
अग्ने॑ अ॒पां समि॑ध्यसे दुरो॒णे नित्यः॑ सूनो सहसो जातवेदः । स॒धस्था॑नि म॒हय॑मान ऊ॒ती ॥ (५)
हे बल के पुत्र, अविनाशी एवं जातवेद अग्नि! रक्षा के द्वारा लोकों को महान् बनाते हुए तुम जल के स्थान आकाश में भली प्रकार प्रकाशित होते हो. (५)
O son of the force, the indestructible and the Jatveda Agni! By making the people great by defense, you are well illuminated in the sky instead of water. (5)
