ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 50
गोभि॑र्मिमि॒क्षुं द॑धिरे सुपा॒रमिन्द्रं॒ ज्यैष्ठ्या॑य॒ धाय॑से गृणा॒नाः । म॒न्दा॒नः सोमं॑ पपि॒वाँ ऋ॑जीषि॒न्सम॒स्मभ्यं॑ पुरु॒धा गा इ॑षण्य ॥ (३)
ऋत्विज्‌ अभिलषित फल देने वाले एवं स्तुतियों द्वारा प्रसन्न किए जाने योग्य इंद्र को श्रेष्ठता और चिरायु प्राप्ति के निमित्त गोदुग्ध मिले सोम से प्रसन्न करते हैं. हे सोम के स्वामी इंद्र! तुम प्रसन्न होते हुए सोमपान करो एवं हम स्तोताओं को यज्ञकर्म के निमित्त बहुत सी गाएं दो. (३)
The ritvajs please Indra, who gives the desired fruits and is pleased by the praises, with the godly found som for the sake of excellence and longevity. O Lord Indra of Mon! You must do sompan while you are happy and we will give many songs to the stotas for the sake of the yagnakarma. (3)
