ऋग्वेद: | सूक्त: 54
वि॒द्युन्म॑हसो॒ नरो॒ अश्म॑दिद्यवो॒ वात॑त्विषो म॒रुतः॑ पर्वत॒च्युतः॑ । अ॒ब्द॒या चि॒न्मुहु॒रा ह्रा॑दुनी॒वृतः॑ स्त॒नय॑दमा रभ॒सा उदो॑जसः ॥ (३)
बिजलीरूपी तेज वाले, वर्षा आदि के नेता, पत्थरों के आयुध वाले, दीप्ति प्राप्त करने वाले, पर्वतों को च्युत करने वाले, बार-बार जल देने वाले, वज्र को प्रेरित करने वाले, मिलकर गर्जन करने वाले एवं उद्धृत बलसंपन्न मरुद्गण वर्षा के निमित्त प्रकट होते हैं. (३)
The leaders of lightning, the leaders of rain, etc., the armaments of stones, the ones who receive the light, those who destroy the mountains, the ones who give water again and again, the ones who inspire the thunderbolt, the thunderers together and the cited force-laden deserters appear for the rain.
