नि॒युत्व॑न्तो ग्राम॒जितो॒ यथा॒ नरो॑ऽर्य॒मणो॒ न म॒रुतः॑ कब॒न्धिनः॑ । पिन्व॒न्त्युत्सं॒ यदि॒नासो॒ अस्व॑र॒न्व्यु॑न्दन्ति पृथि॒वीं मध्वो॒ अन्ध॑सा ॥ (८)
नियुत नाम वाले घोड़ों के स्वामी, संयुक्त पदार्थो को पृथक्‌ करने वाले तथा नेता, सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी मरुद्गण जल से युक्त होते हैं. वे शक्तिशाली बनकर कुएं, तालाब आदि निचले स्थानों को जल से भर देते हैं एवं शब्द करते हुए धरती को मधुर जल से सींच देते हैं. (८)
