ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
ए॒ना वो॑ अ॒ग्निं नम॑सो॒र्जो नपा॑त॒मा हु॑वे । प्रि॒यं चेति॑ष्ठमर॒तिं स्व॑ध्व॒रं विश्व॑स्य दू॒तम॒मृत॑म् ॥ (१)
हे यजमान! मैं शक्तिपुत्र, प्रियः अतिशय ज्ञानशील, गतिशील, शोभनयज्ञ वाले, सबके दूत और मरणरहित अग्नि को इस स्तुति द्वारा तुम्हारे कल्याण के लिए बुलाता हूं. (१)
O host! I call the son of power, dear: the most knowledgeable, the dynamic, the godly, the dominionist, the messenger of all, and the agni without death, for your welfare through this praise. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
स यो॑जते अरु॒षा वि॒श्वभो॑जसा॒ स दु॑द्रव॒त्स्वा॑हुतः । सु॒ब्रह्मा॑ य॒ज्ञः सु॒शमी॒ वसू॑नां दे॒वं राधो॒ जना॑नाम् ॥ (२)
प्रकाशयुक्त एवं सबके पालक अग्नि अपने रथ में घोड़ों को जोतते हैं एवं शीघ्रता से देवों के पास जाते हैं. हे भली प्रकार बुलाए गए एवं शोभनस्तुति वाले अग्नि! तुम यज्ञरूप एवं शोभनकर्म वाले हो. वसिष्ठगोत्रीय ऋषि का हवि अग्नि के पास जाए. (२)
The lighted and the guardian of all, the agni, ploughs the horses in their chariots and quickly goes to the gods. O agnis of well-called and adorned! You are a yajnarup and a shobhankarma. The havan of Vasishthagotriya rishi should go to the agni. (2)

उद॑स्य शो॒चिर॑स्थादा॒जुह्वा॑नस्य मी॒ळ्हुषः॑ । उद्धू॒मासो॑ अरु॒षासो॑ दिवि॒स्पृशः॒ सम॒ग्निमि॑न्धते॒ नरः॑ ॥ (३)
बुलाए गए एवं अभिलाषापूरक अग्नि का तेज ऊपर उठता है. शोभन एवं आकाश को छूने वाले धुएं उठ रहे हैं. लोग अग्ने को प्रज्वलित कर रहे हैं. (३)
The call and the desireful agni rises up. Shobhan and the smoke that touches the sky are rising. People are igniting to agne. (3)

तं त्वा॑ दू॒तं कृ॑ण्महे य॒शस्त॑मं दे॒वाँ आ वी॒तये॑ वह । विश्वा॑ सूनो सहसो मर्त॒भोज॑ना॒ रास्व॒ तद्यत्त्वेम॑हे ॥ (४)
हे बलपुत्र एवं अतिशय यश वाले अग्नि! हम तुम्हें दूत बनाते हैं. तुम हव्य भक्षण के लिए देवों को बुलाओ. जब हम तुम्हारी याचना करते हैं, तभी हमें मानवों का भोग दो. (४)
O son of strength and a agni of great success! We make you the messenger. You call the gods for havya devouring. Only when we beg of you, give us the enjoyment of human beings. (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
त्वम॑ग्ने गृ॒हप॑ति॒स्त्वं होता॑ नो अध्व॒रे । त्वं पोता॑ विश्ववार॒ प्रचे॑ता॒ यक्षि॒ वेषि॑ च॒ वार्य॑म् ॥ (५)
हे सर्वप्रिय अग्नि! तुम हमारे यज्ञ में गृहपति हो. तुम ही होता, पोता और विशिष्ट ज्ञान वाले हो. तुम उत्तम हव्य का यजन एवं भक्षण करो. (५)
O beloved agni! You are the housekeeper in our yajna. You would be the only one, the grandson and the one with specific knowledge. You should eat and eat the best of the good. (5)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
कृ॒धि रत्नं॒ यज॑मानाय सुक्रतो॒ त्वं हि र॑त्न॒धा असि॑ । आ न॑ ऋ॒ते शि॑शीहि॒ विश्व॑मृ॒त्विजं॑ सु॒शंसो॒ यश्च॒ दक्ष॑ते ॥ (६)
हे शोभन कर्म वाले अग्नि! तुम यजमान को रत्न दो, क्योंकि तुम रत्न देने वाले हो. हमारे यज्ञ में सब ऋत्विजों को कुशल बनाओ एवं बढ़ने वाले होता को बढ़ाओ. (६)
O agni of good deeds! You give the jewel to the host, because you are the one to give the gemstone. Make all the ritvijas skilled in our yajna and increase the growing phenomenon. (6)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
त्वे अ॑ग्ने स्वाहुत प्रि॒यासः॑ सन्तु सू॒रयः॑ । य॒न्तारो॒ ये म॒घवा॑नो॒ जना॑नामू॒र्वान्दय॑न्त॒ गोना॑म् ॥ (७)
हे भली प्रकार बुलाए गए अग्नि! तुम्हारे स्तोता सबके प्रिय बनें. जो धनसंपन्नदाता मानवों एवं गायों का दान करते हैं, वे भी प्रिय बनें. (७)
O well-called agni! Be your hymns everyone's beloved. Those who donate money to humans and cows, also be dear. (7)

येषा॒मिळा॑ घृ॒तह॑स्ता दुरो॒ण आँ अपि॑ प्रा॒ता नि॒षीद॑ति । ताँस्त्रा॑यस्व सहस्य द्रु॒हो नि॒दो यच्छा॑ नः॒ शर्म॑ दीर्घ॒श्रुत् ॥ (८)
हे बलपुत्र अग्नि! उन घरों को द्रोह और निंदा करने वालों से बचाओ, जिन में हाथों में घी लिए हुए अन्नरूपिणी देवी पूर्णरूप से बैठती हैं. हमें बहुत समय तक सुनने योग्य सुख दो. (८)
O son of strength, agni! Protect the houses from the detestables and blasphemers in which Goddess Annarupini sits fully with ghee in her hands. Give us a lot of hearingable pleasures for a long time. (8)
