सामवेद (अध्याय 9)
अग्ने देवाँ इहा वह जज्ञानो वृक्तबर्हिषे । असि होता न ईड्यः ॥ (३)
हे अग्नि! आप अरणियों से उत्पन्न होने वाले व देवताओं के दूत हैं. आप आसन फैलाने वाले यजमान के लिए देवताओं को बुला लाइए. आप मददगार और उपासना के योग्य हैं. (३)
O agni! You are born of forests and messengers of gods. You call the gods for the host who spreads the seat. You are helpful and worthy of worship. (3)
