यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 12)
अति॒ विश्वाः॑ परि॒ष्ठा स्ते॒नऽइ॑व व्र॒जम॑क्रमुः। ओष॑धीः॒ प्राचु॑च्यवु॒र्यत्किं च॑ त॒न्वो रपः॑ ॥ (८४)
ओषधियां रोग पर वैसे ही आक्रमण करती हैं, जैसे चोर गायों के बाड़े पर आक्रमण करते हैं. ओषधियां शरीर के समस्त रोगों और विकारों को नष्ट करती हैं. (८४)
Drugs attack the disease just as thieves attack the enclosure of cows. Medicines destroy all diseases and disorders of the body. (84)
