यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 17)
अ॒भिप्र॑वन्त॒ सम॑नेव॒ योषाः॑ कल्या॒ण्यः] स्मय॑मानासोऽअ॒ग्निम्। घृ॒तस्य॒ धाराः॑ स॒मिधो॑ नसन्त॒ ता जु॑षा॒णो ह॑र्यति जा॒तवे॑दाः ॥ (९६)
जैसे समान मन वाली सुंदर स्त्रियां खुश होती हुई अपने पति के पास जाती हैं, बैसे ही घी की धाराएं प्रदीप्त करती हुई अग्नि को प्राप्त होती हैं. अग्नि को व्यापक बनाती हैं. घी की धाराएं सर्वज्ञ अग्नि को प्राप्त होती हैं. अग्नि निरंतर उन धाराओं की कामना करते हैं. (९६)
Just as beautiful women with the same mind go to their husbands happy, they get the agni illuminating the streams of ghee. Broaden the agni. Streams of ghee are attained by the omniscient agni. Fire constantly desires those streams. (96)
