यजुर्वेद:
इ॒दं पि॒तृभ्यो॒ नमो॑ऽअस्त्व॒द्य ये पूर्वो॑सो॒ यऽउप॑रास ई॒युः। ये पार्थि॑वे॒ रज॒स्या निष॑त्ता॒ ये वा॑ नू॒नꣳ सु॑वृ॒जना॑सु वि॒क्षु ॥ (६८)
पितरों को नमन. जो पितर पूर्व में हुए, जो पितर बाद में हुए, जो पार्थिव हैं, जो धर्म पालक हैं, उन सभी पितरों को सादर यह हवि प्राप्त हो. (६८)
Remembrance to the pitars (ancestrors). May all the pitar who were born the earliest, the pitars who were born later, those who passed away, those who are virtuous, all those pitars should get this offering. (68)
