यजुर्वेद:
यद् ग्रामे॒ यदर॑ण्ये॒ यत्स॒भायां॒ यदि॑न्द्रि॒ये। यच्छू॒द्रे यदर्ये॒ यदेन॑श्चकृ॒मा व॒यं यदेक॒स्याधि॒ धर्म॑णि॒ तस्या॑व॒यज॑नमसि ॥ (१७)
जो ग्राम में, जो जंगल में, जो सभाओं में, जो इंद्रियों में हम ने पाप किए हैं, जो पाप शूदट्रों और वैश्यों के साथ किए हैं, अधिकार को धारण करने या उस का निर्वाह करने में जो पाप हम ने किए हैं, उन से हमें मुक्त करने की कृपा करें. (१७)
May we be pleased to free us from the sins we have committed in the village, in the forest, in the meetings, in the senses, the sins we have committed against shudaras and vaishyas, in possessing authority or in pursuing it. (17)
