यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 33)
प्र वो॑ म॒हे मन्द॑माना॒यान्ध॒सोऽर्चा॑ वि॒श्वान॑राय विश्वा॒भुवे॑।इन्द्र॑स्य॒ यस्य॒ सुम॑ख॒ꣳ सहो॒ महि॒ श्रवो॑ नृ॒म्णं च॒ रोद॑सी सप॒र्य्यतः॑ ॥ (२३)
हे यजमानो! इंद्र देव महिमाशाली, सब लोकों के पालक, संपूर्ण जग को उपजाने वाले व मदमस्त बनाने बाले हैं. हम उन की अर्चना करते हैं. इंद्र देव के लिए श्रेष्ठ यज्ञ किए जाते हैं. उन की महिमा सुनी जाती है, जो पृथ्वी और स्वर्ग दोनों लोकों को महान् वैभव प्रदान करते हैं. (२३)
O hosts! Indra Dev is glorious, the foster of all the worlds, the one who grows the whole world and makes it crazy. We worship them. The best sacrifices are performed for Indra Dev. The glory of those who give great glory to both earth and heaven is heard. (23)
