यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
प्र तद्विष्णु॑ स्तवते वी॒र्य्येण मृ॒गो न भी॒मः कु॑च॒रो गि॑रि॒ष्ठाः। यस्यो॒रुषु॑ त्रि॒षु वि॒क्रम॑णेष्वधिक्षि॒यन्ति॒ भुव॑नानि॒ विश्वा॑ ॥ (२०)
विष्णु अपनी सुंदरता के लिए प्रसिद्ध हैं. वे अपनी वीरता के कारण स्तुत्य हैं. वे सिंह व संवेग की तरह विचरण करते हैं वे पर्वत में वास करते हैं. इन के तीनों पैरों में सब आश्रय पाए हुए हैं. इन विष्णु के तीनों पैरों में सब लोक आश्रय पाए हुए हैं. (२०)
Vishnu is famous for his beauty. They are praiseworthy for their bravery. They move like lions and impulses, they live in mountains. All of them have shelter in their three legs. All the folk shelters are found in the three feet of vishnu. (20)
