यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 5)
र॒क्षो॒हणो॑ वो बलग॒हनः॒ प्रोक्षा॑मि वैष्ण॒वान् र॑क्षो॒हणो॑ वो बलग॒हनोऽव॑नयामि वैष्ण॒वान् र॑क्षो॒हणो॑ वो बलग॒हनोऽव॑स्तृणामि वैष्ण॒वान् र॑क्षो॒हणौ॑ वां बलग॒हना॒ऽउप॑दधामि वैष्ण॒वी र॑क्षो॒हणौ॑ वां बलग॒हनौ॒ पर्यू॑हामि वैष्ण॒वी वै॑ष्ण॒वम॑सि वैष्ण॒वा स्थ॑ ॥ (२५)
राक्षस नाश हेतु हम गड्ढा खोदते हैं. अभिचार नाश हेतु हम गड्ढा खोदते हैं. विष्णु को इन गड्ढों में अधिष्ठित करते हैं. उन के हेतु हम गड्ढों में जल छिड़कते हैं. उन के हेतु हम गड्ढों में कुश का आसन बिछाते हैं. वे राक्षस व अभिचार नाशक हैं. उन के हेतु हम गड्ढों में फलक (पटरा) रखते हैं. वे राक्षस व अभिचार नाशक हैं. उन के हेतु हम गड्ढों में मिट्टी व पत्थर बिछाते हैं. आप पालक हैं. हे विष्णु! स्थिर होने की कृपा करें. (२५)
We dig a pit to destroy demons. We dig a pit to destroy the taste. Vishnu is installed in these pits. For them, we sprinkle water in the pits. For them, we lay the seat of Kush in the pits. They are demons and anti-morals. For them, we keep panes in the pits. They are demons and anti-morals. For them, we lay soil and stones in the pits. You are foster. O Vishnu! Please be stable. (25)
