यजुर्वेद (अध्याय 8)
आति॑ष्ठ वृत्रह॒न् रथं॑ यु॒क्ता ते॒ ब्रह्म॑णा॒ हरी॑। अ॒र्वा॒चीन॒ꣳ सु ते॒ मनो॒ ग्रावा॑ कृणोतु व॒ग्नुना॑। उ॒प॒या॒मगृ॑हीतो॒ऽसीन्द्रा॑य त्वा षोड॒शिन॑ऽए॒ष ते॒ योनि॒रिन्द्रा॑य त्वा षोड॒शिने॑ ॥ (३३)
हे इंद्र देव! आप वृत्रनाशक हैं. आप के घोड़े संकेत मात्र से चलने वाले हैं. आप अपने ब्रहाज्ञानी घोड़ों को रथ में जोतिए. प्राचीन सोम को पत्थर से कूटने पर होने वाली ध्वनियों से आप का मन यज्ञ की ओर आकर्षित हो. हे सोम! आप को इंद्र देव के लिए कलश में ग्रहण किया गया है. आप सोलह कलाओं बाले हैं. आप को इंद्र देव के लिए इस पात्र में लिया गया है. सोलह कलाओं वाले इंद्र देव के लिए आप को इस पात्र में ग्रहण किया गया है. O Lord Indra! You are a void. Your horses are just about to walk by signs. You plough your brahmagyani horses in the chariot. Your mind is attracted to yajna by the sounds of cutting the ancient Soma with stone. O Mon! You have been received in the kalash for Indra Dev. You are a master of sixteen arts. You have been cast in this character for Indra Dev. You are accepted in this character for Indra Dev with sixteen arts. (33)
