अथर्ववेद (कांड 11)
चतु॑र्दंष्ट्राञ्छ्या॒वद॑तः कु॒म्भमु॑ष्काँ॒ असृ॑ङ्मुखान् । स्व॑भ्य॒सा ये चो॑द्भ्य॒साः ॥ (१७)
जो यक्ष, राक्षस आदि अपनी माया से छिपे रहते हैं, उन काले रंग वालों और चार दांतों वालों को हमारे शत्रुओं को दिखाओ. जो राक्षस अनेक रूपों के कारण भयानक हैं, उन्हें भी तुम हमारे शत्रुओं को दिखाओ. (१७)
Show our enemies those who are hidden from their maya, those black colored and four-toothed. Show the demons which are terrible due to many forms, you also show them to our enemies. (17)
