अथर्ववेद: | सूक्त: 1
यो अ॑नि॒ध्मोदी॒दय॑द॒प्स्वन्तर्यं विप्रा॑स॒ ईड॑ते अध्व॒रेषु॑ । अपां॑ नपा॒न्मधु॑मतीर॒पोदा॒ याभि॒रिन्द्रो॑ वावृ॒धे वी॒र्यावान् ॥ (३७)
जो जलों में बिना ईधनों के चमकने वाला तेज है, जो यज्ञों के द्विजों का ज्ञान रूप तेज है, जो जलों में मधुरता और पुरुषों में वीर्य है; इस तेज, ज्ञान, माधुर्य और वीर्य से गृहस्थ युक्त हों. इंद्र इन्हीं की अधिकता से सब से महान बने हैं. (३७)
Which is the radiance of shining in the water without fuel, which is the wisdom form of the dwijas of sacrifices, which is sweetness in the waters and semen in men; May the householder be filled with this radiance, knowledge, sweetness and semen. Indra has become the greatest of them. (37)
