हे कर्मशील मनुष्यो! तुम सुखद इंद्र को हृदय में ग्रहण करो, तुम अन्न प्राप्ति के लिए प्रेरणा करो. तुम अपनी रक्षा के लिए पुत्र को उत्पन्न करो तथा सोमरस पीने के लिए इंद्र का आह्वान करो. (२)
O working men! You take pleasant Indra in your heart, you inspire you to get food. You produce a son to protect you and invoke Indra to drink someras. (2)
इंद्र की सवारी के लिए मैं वेगवान अर्थात् तेज दौड़ने वाले घोड़े का पूजन कर चुका हूं. वे इंद्र हमें सुरभि अर्थात् गाय का स्वामी बनाएं तथा हमें श्रेष्ठ बनाते हुए हमारा जीवन उत्तम बनाएं. (३)
For the ride of Indra, I have worshiped the fast running horse. That Indra should make us surabhi i.e. the swami of the cow and make us better and make our life better. (3)
हर्ष प्रदान करने वाला सोमरस इंद्र के लिए तैयार किया जा चुका है. सोमरस छन्ने अर्थात् छानने के लिए प्रयोग किए गए कषड़े से टपक रहा है. हे सोम! तुम्हारी शक्ति देवताओं को हर्षित करे. (४)
Someras, who provides happiness, has been prepared for Indra. Somers is dripping from the shell used for filtering. O Mon! May your power make the gods happy. (4)
दस हजार किरणों से आकर्षित करने वाले सूर्य पृथ्वी पर आ कर अपने ओज से खड़े हुए तथा अपनी शक्ति से पृथ्वी की हिंसा करने लगे. तब इंद्र ने अपने बल से सूर्य को हटा कर पृथ्वी की रक्षा की तथा अपनी शक्ति से ही इंद्र ने पृथ्वी पर जल वाली शक्तियों की स्थापना की. (७)
The sun, which attracted ten thousand rays, came to the earth and stood with its oz and started doing violence to the earth with its power. Then Indra removed the sun with his force and protected the earth and with his power, Indra established the powers of water on the earth.
विषम और विचरण करने वाले शुकु अर्थात् काले असुर को अंशुमती के पास घूमते हुए देखा है. वे भी सूर्य के समान ही आकाश में निवास करते हैं. मैं उन का आश्रित हूं. कामनाओं की वर्षा करने वाले इंद्र युद्ध में तुम्हारा साथ दें. (८)
I have seen the odd and moving Shuku i.e. black asura roaming near Anshumati. They also live in the sky just like the sun. I am their dependent. May Indra, who showers desires, support you in the war. (8)
