नमो॑ देवव॒धेभ्यो॒ नमो॑ राजव॒धेभ्यः॑। अथो॒ ये विश्या॑नां व॒धास्तेभ्यो॑ मृत्यो॒ नमो॑ऽस्तु ते ॥ (१)
इंद्र आदि के हनन साधन वज्र आदि को नमस्कार है, जिस से वे हमारा त्याग कर दें राजा से संबंधित आयुधों को नमस्कार है. हे मृत्यु! वैश्य जातियों के वध के जो साधन हैं, उन से बचाने के लिए हम तुझे नमस्कार करते हैं. (१)
Salutations to Vajra etc., the instruments of destruction of Indra, so that they may abandon us. Salutations to the weapons belonging to the king. Oh death! We salute you for saving us from the weapons meant to killing of the Vaishya\'s. (1)
हे मृत्यु! तेरा पक्षपात कर के वचन बोलने वाले दूत को तथा पराभव का वर्णन करने वाले के लिए नमस्कार है. हे मृत्यु! तेरी अनुग्रहकारिणी बुद्धि के लिए एवं निग्रह करने वाली दुर्बुद्धि के लिए नमस्कार है. (२)
O death! Salutations to the messenger who speaks the words of your favor and to the one who describes the defeat. O death! Salutations to your gracious intellect and to the evil intellect that takes care of you. (2)
हे मृत्यु! तुझ से संबंधित राक्षसों को नमस्कार है, जो लोगों को पीड़ा पहुंचाते हैं. तुझ से रक्षा करने वाली ओषधियों को नमस्कार है. तुझ से संबंधित मूल पुरुषों तथा शापानुग्रह समर्थ ब्राह्मणों के लिए नमस्कार है. (३)
O death! Salutations to the demons related to you, who hurt people. Salutations to the medicines who protect you from you. Salutations to the original men related to you and the cursed Brahmins. (3)
