हे शंखपुष्पी! तू दुर्भाग्य के लक्षण को पूरी तरह निगलती हुई उत्पन्न होती है. तू मेरे सौभाग्य का निर्माण करती है. हे जड़ीबूटी! तेरी सौ शाखाएं तथा तैंतीस जड़े हैं. हे नारी! इस हजार पत्तों वाली शंखपुष्पी के द्वारा मैं तेरे हृदय को कामाग्नि से संतप्त करता हूं. (१)
