हे पापमय अशक्त मन! तू हम से दूर चला जा. तू अशोभन बातें मुझ तक क्यों लाता है? तू दूर चला जा. मैं तुझे नहीं चाहता. यहां से दूर जा कर तू घने वृक्षों वाले वन में प्रवेश कर और वहीं रह. मेरा शोभन मन पत्नी, पुत्र आदि से युक्त घर में और गौ आदि पशुओं में संलग्न रहे. (१)
O sinful infirm mind! You go away from us. Why do you bring indecent things to me? You go away. I don't want you. Go away from here and enter the forest with dense trees and stay there. My shobhan man remained engaged in a house with wife, son etc. and in animals like cow etc. (1)
सामान्य हिंसा, अत्यधिक हिंसा तथा मुंह फेरने वालों की हिंसा के द्वारा जाग्रत अवस्था में हम जिस बुरे स्वप्न से पीड़ित होते हैं, निद्रावस्था में भी वही बुरा स्वप्न हम को पीड़ित करता है. बुरे स्वम्रों के निमित्त उन सभी अशोभन पापों को अग्नि देव हम से दूर करें. (२)
The nightmare that we suffer from in the waking state by general violence, excessive violence and the violence of those who turn away, the same nightmare in sleep also makes us suffer. May the Agni God remove all those indecent sins from us for the sake of evil self.' (2)
हे इंद्र और ब्रह्मणस्पति! दुःख के निमित्त जिस पाप के कारण हम स्वप्न में अत्यधिक निंदनीय आचरण करते हैं, उस दुःख देने वाले पाप के आंगिरस मंत्रों के अधिष्ठाता देव वरुण हमारी रक्षा करें. (३)
O Indra and Brahmanaspati! May Varuna, the presiding deity of the angiras mantras of the sorrow-giving sin, protect us for the sin that causes us to behave highly condemnable in dreams for the sake of sorrow. (3)
