अथर्ववेद: | सूक्त: 45
यदि॑न्द्र ब्रह्मणस्प॒तेऽपि॒ मृषा॒ चरा॑मसि । प्रचे॑ता न आङ्गिर॒सो दु॑रि॒तात्पा॒त्वंह॑सः ॥ (३)
हे इंद्र और ब्रह्मणस्पति! दुःख के निमित्त जिस पाप के कारण हम स्वप्न में अत्यधिक निंदनीय आचरण करते हैं, उस दुःख देने वाले पाप के आंगिरस मंत्रों के अधिष्ठाता देव वरुण हमारी रक्षा करें. (३)
O Indra and Brahmanaspati! May Varuna, the presiding deity of the angiras mantras of the sorrow-giving sin, protect us for the sin that causes us to behave highly condemnable in dreams for the sake of sorrow. (3)
