अथर्ववेद (कांड 7)

अथर्ववेद: | सूक्त: 114
यो नो॑ द्यु॒वे धन॑मि॒दं च॒कार॒ यो अ॒क्षाणां॒ ग्लह॑नं॒ शेष॑णं च । स नो॑ दे॒वो ह॒विरि॒दं जु॑षा॒णो ग॑न्ध॒र्वेभिः॑ सध॒मादं॑ मदेम ॥ (५)
जिस देव ने जुआ खेलते हुए लोगों को विरोधी जुआरी की हार के रूप में धन दिलाया है तथा जिस देव ने विरोधी जुआरी के पासों का ग्रहण और विरोध में दमन किया है, वह देव हमारी इस हवि को स्वीकार करे. हम जुए के देवों अर्थात्‌ गंधर्वो के साथ प्रसन्न रहें. (५)
The God who has given money to the people as a defeat of the opposing gambler while gambling and the God who has accepted the passes of the opposing gambler and suppressed it in opposition, that God should accept this desire of ours. May we be happy with the gods of gambling i.e. Gandharvas. (5)
