हे बृहस्पति! परलोक में भवन वाले यमराज के शाप से तुम इस ब्रह्मचारी को छुड़ाते हो. यमराज का शाप मरण का कारण है. हे अग्नि! तुम्हारी कृपा से अश्विनीकुमार अपनी क्रियाओं के द्वारा हमारे ब्रह्मचारी को मृत्यु के कारण से छुड़ाएं. (१)
O Jupiter! You rescue this brahmachari from the curse of Yamraj, who has a building in the hereafter. Yamraj's curse is the cause of death. O agni! By your grace, Ashwinikumar should free our brahmachari from the cause of death through his actions. (1)
हे प्राण और अपान वायु! तुम दोनों आयु की कामना करने वाले मनुष्य के शरीर में संक्रमण करो तथा उस के शरीर का त्याग मत करो. हे आयु की कामना करने वाले पुरुष! तेरे इस शरीर में प्राण और अपान वायु संयुक्त रहें. इस के पश्चात तू सौ वर्ष तक जीवित रहे. जीवित रहते हुए तेरे हवि आदि से समृद्ध होते हुए अग्ने देव तेरी रक्षा करने वाले, तुझे अपना समझने वाले तथा निवास स्थान देने वाले हों. (२)
O life and your air! Both of you transition into the body of a man who wishes for life and do not give up his body. O men wishing for age! May life and your air be combined in this body of yours. After this you lived for a hundred years. While living, enriched by your havi etc., let the agni god protect you, consider you as his own and give you a place of residence. (2)
हे आयु की कामना करने वाले पुरुष! तुम्हारा जो जीवन तुम्हें छोड़ कर और तुम्हारा अतिक्रमण कर के गया है, वह प्राण और अपान वायु की कृपा से पुनः वापस आ जाए. उस आयु का अनिने ने निकृष्ट गति वाली मृत्यु के पास से हरण कर लिया है. अग्नि के द्वारा हरण कर के लाई गई उस आयु को मैं तेरे शरीर में पुनः स्थापित करता हूं. (३)
O men wishing for age! May your life, which has left you and been encroached upon by you, come back again by the grace of life and your air. Anine has taken that age from near death with poor speed. I restore that age brought by agni in your body. (3)
प्राण वायु इस आयु चाहने वाले पुरुष का त्याग न करे तथा अपान वायु भी इसे छोड़ कर न जाए. मैं इस पुरुष को रक्षा के हेतु सप्त ऋषियों के लिए सौंप रहा हूं. वे सात ऋषि अर्थात् सात प्राण इसे वृद्धावस्था तक ले जाएं. (४)
Prana Vayu should not give up this age-seeking man and apana air should not leave it. I am handing over this man to the Saptrishis for protection. May those seven sages i.e. seven pranas take it to old age. (4)
हे प्राण और अपान वायु! जिस प्रकार गाड़ी को खींचने वाले बैल गोठ में प्रवेश करते हैं, उसी प्रकार तुम आयु चाहने वाले पुरुष के शरीर में प्रवेश करो. वह आयु चाहने वाला पुरुष वृद्धावस्था की निधि बने. वह इस लोक में मृत्यु की बाधा से रहित हो कर जीवित रहे एवं वृद्धि को प्राप्त करे. (५)
O life and your air! Just as the bulls that pull the cart enter the knot, so you enter the body of a man who wants age. That age-seeking man should become the fund of old age. He should live and attain growth in this world without the obstacle of death. (5)
आ ते॑ प्रा॒णं सु॑वामसि॒ परा॒ यक्ष्मं॑ सुवामि ते । आयु॑र्नो वि॒श्वतो॑ दधद॒यम॒ग्निर्वरे॑ण्यः ॥ (६)
हे आयु चाहने वाले पुरुष! हम तेरे प्राण को वापस बुलाते हैं. हम तेरी आयु के प्रतिबंधक यक्ष्मा रोग को पीछे हटने के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं. वे वरेण्य एवं हवन किए जाते हुए अग्नि देव हमारे इस यजमान को सभी प्रकार से सौ वर्ष की आयु प्रदान करें. (६)
O age-loving man! We call back your life. We inspire the restrictive tuberculosis of your age to retreat. May agni dev give this host a hundred years of age in all ways while performing varenya and havan. (6)
