हिर॑ण्यश‍ृ॒ङ्गोऽयो॑ अस्य॒ पादा॒ मनो॑जवा॒ अव॑र॒ इन्द्र॑ आसीत् । दे॒वा इद॑स्य हवि॒रद्य॑माय॒न्यो अर्व॑न्तं प्रथ॒मो अ॒ध्यति॑ष्ठत् ॥ (९)
घोड़े का शीश सोने का एवं पैर लोहे के हैं. मन के समान वेग वाले इंद्र भी इससे भिन्न हैं. घोड़े रूपी हव्य को खाने के लिए देव आते हैं. इंद्र वहां सबसे पहले आकर बैठे हैं. (९)
The horse's glass is of gold and the foot is of iron. Indra with the same velocity as the mind is also different from this. God comes to eat the horse-like havya. Indra is the first to come and sit there. (9)
