ऋग्वेद (मंडल 10)
क॒दा व॑सो स्तो॒त्रं हर्य॑त॒ आव॑ श्म॒शा रु॑ध॒द्वाः । दी॒र्घं सु॒तं वा॒ताप्या॑य ॥ (१)
हे निवासस्थान देने वाले इंद्र! हमारा स्तोत्र तुझ कामना करने वाले को कब रोकेगा? जिस प्रकार खेत की नालियां जलपूर्ण होती हैं. उसी प्रकार जल प्राप्त करने के लिए अधिक सोमरस निचोड़ा गया है. (१)
O Indra, who gives the abode! When will our psalm stop the one who desires you? The way the drains of the field are watery. In the same way more somras have been squeezed to get water. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 10)
हरी॒ यस्य॑ सु॒युजा॒ विव्र॑ता॒ वेरर्व॒न्तानु॒ शेपा॑ । उ॒भा र॒जी न के॒शिना॒ पति॒र्दन् ॥ (२)
हरि नामक दो घोड़े दौड़ने में कुशल ठीक-ठीक से सिखाए गए एवं श्वेत केशों वाले हैं. इन घोड़ों के स्वामी इंद्र दान करने आवें. (२)
Two horses named Hari are well-taught and have white hairs, who are skilled in running. Indra, the lord of these horses, should come to daan. (2)

अप॒ योरिन्द्रः॒ पाप॑ज॒ आ मर्तो॒ न श॑श्रमा॒णो बि॑भी॒वान् । शु॒भे यद्यु॑यु॒जे तवि॑षीवान् ॥ (३)
इंद्र पापी वृत्र के साथ युद्ध में मनुष्य के समान थककर एवं भयभीत होकर मरुतों के समान गतिशील घोड़े रथ में जोड़ें. उस समय वे शोभा प्राप्त करें. (३)
Indra, in the battle with the sinner Vritra, tired and frightened as a man, add the horses as moving as the maruts to the chariot. At that time they get the glory. (3)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 10)
सचा॒योरिन्द्र॒श्चर्कृ॑ष॒ आँ उ॑पान॒सः स॑प॒र्यन् । न॒दयो॒र्विव्र॑तयोः॒ शूर॒ इन्द्रः॑ ॥ (४)
मानवों की सेवा पाकर इंद्र ने सभी संपत्तियों को एकत्र किया. शूर इंद्र ने शब्द करने वाले एवं विशेषकर्म वाले घोड़ों को वश में किया. (४)
After receiving the service of human beings, Indra collected all the properties. Shur Indra subdued the horses with words and special deeds. (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 10)
अधि॒ यस्त॒स्थौ केश॑वन्ता॒ व्यच॑स्वन्ता॒ न पु॒ष्ट्यै । व॒नोति॒ शिप्रा॑भ्यां शि॒प्रिणी॑वान् ॥ (५)
इंद्र शरीर पुष्ट करने के लिए केश वाले एवं विशाल घोड़ों पर चढ़े. इंद्र ने अपने दोनों जबड़ों को चलाकर भोजन मांगा. (५)
Indra climbed on to the haired and huge horses to strengthen the body. Indra ran both his jaws and asked for food. (5)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 10)
प्रास्तौ॑दृ॒ष्वौजा॑ ऋ॒ष्वेभि॑स्त॒तक्ष॒ शूरः॒ शव॑सा । ऋ॒भुर्न क्रतु॑भिर्मात॒रिश्वा॑ ॥ (६)
दर्शनीय शक्ति वाले एवं शूर इंद्र शक्ति के द्वारा मरुतों के साथ यजमान की प्रशंसा करते हैं. ऋभु के रथनिर्माण के समान इंद्र ने अनेक वीरकर्म किए हैं. (६)
Those with visible power and the shura admire the host with the maruts through the power of Indra. Indra has performed many virtuous deeds like the chariot making of Ribhu. (6)

वज्रं॒ यश्च॒क्रे सु॒हना॑य॒ दस्य॑वे हिरीम॒शो हिरी॑मान् । अरु॑तहनु॒रद्भु॑तं॒ न रजः॑ ॥ (७)
हरी दाढ़ी वाले एवं हरे रंग के घोड़ों वाले इंद्र ने दस्यु को मारने के लिए वज्र तैयार किया. सुंदर जबड़ों वाले इंद्र आकाश के समान विचित्र हैं. (७)
Indra, who had a green beard and with a green horse, prepared a thunderbolt to kill the bandit. Indra with beautiful jaws is as bizarre as the sky. (7)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 10)
अव॑ नो वृजि॒ना शि॑शीह्यृ॒चा व॑नेमा॒नृचः॑ । नाब्र॑ह्मा य॒ज्ञ ऋध॒ग्जोष॑ति॒ त्वे ॥ (८)
हे इंद्र! हमारे पापों को समाप्त करो, जिससे हम तुम्हारी स्तुतियों द्वारा स्तुतिहीन लोगों को मार सकें. स्तुतिरहित यज्ञ तुम्हें स्तुति वाले यज्ञ के समान प्यारा नहीं होता. (८)
O Indra! Put an end to our sins, so that we may kill uns praiseworthy people by your praises. A yajna without praise is not as dear to you as a yajna of praise. (8)
