ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
ति॒स्रो वाचः॒ प्र व॑द॒ ज्योति॑रग्रा॒ या ए॒तद्दु॒ह्रे म॑धुदो॒घमूधः॑ । स व॒त्सं कृ॒ण्वन्गर्भ॒मोष॑धीनां स॒द्यो जा॒तो वृ॑ष॒भो रो॑रवीति ॥ (१)
हे ऋषि! उन्हीं तीन वचनों को बोलो, जिनके अग्र भाग में ओम है एवं जो जल का दोहन करते हैं. पर्जन्य अपने साथ रहने वाली बिजलीरूपी अग्नि को उत्पन्न करते हैं एवं ओषधियों में गर्भ धारण करते हैं. वे शीघ्र उत्पन्न होकर बैल के समान बार-बार शब्द करते हैं. (१)
O sage! Speak the same three words, which have Om in their front and those who harness water. The parasites produce the electric agni that lives with them and conceive in the herbs. They are quick to arise and say words over and over again like bulls. (1)

यो वर्ध॑न॒ ओष॑धीनां॒ यो अ॒पां यो विश्व॑स्य॒ जग॑तो दे॒व ईशे॑ । स त्रि॒धातु॑ शर॒णं शर्म॑ यंसत्त्रि॒वर्तु॒ ज्योतिः॑ स्वभि॒ष्ट्य१॒॑स्मे ॥ (२)
ओषधियों एवं जल को बढ़ाने वाले तथा सारे संसार के स्वामी पर्जन्य तीन प्रकार की भूमियों से युक्त घर एवं सुख प्रदान करें. पर्जन्य हमें तीन ऋतुओं में रहने वाली शोभन ज्योति दे. (२)
Provide homes and happiness with three types of lands that enhance the herbs and water and the masters of the whole world. Give us the shobhan jyoti that lives in three seasons. (2)

स्त॒रीरु॑ त्व॒द्भव॑ति॒ सूत॑ उ त्वद्यथाव॒शं त॒न्वं॑ चक्र ए॒षः । पि॒तुः पयः॒ प्रति॑ गृभ्णाति मा॒ता तेन॑ पि॒ता व॑र्धते॒ तेन॑ पु॒त्रः ॥ (३)
पर्जन्य का एक रूप बच्चे देने में असमर्थ बूढ़ी गाय के समान है और दूसरा रूप गाय के समान जल प्रसव करने वाला है. पर्जन्य इच्छानुसार अपना शरीर बदलते हैं. धरती माता भूलोकरूपी पिता से जलरूपी दूध लेती है. इसके पिता एवं प्राणिवर्गरूपी पुत्र बढ़ते हैं. (३)
One form of the perzanya is similar to an old cow unable to give birth and the other form is the same as the cow giving water delivery. The parasites change their body as desired. Mother Earth takes water-like milk from the father of the bholokarupi. His father and his family-like sons grow. (3)

यस्मि॒न्विश्वा॑नि॒ भुव॑नानि त॒स्थुस्ति॒स्रो द्याव॑स्त्रे॒धा स॒स्रुरापः॑ । त्रयः॒ कोशा॑स उप॒सेच॑नासो॒ मध्वः॑ श्चोतन्त्य॒भितो॑ विर॒प्शम् ॥ (४)
पर्जन्य देव वे हैं, जिन में सभी भुवन स्थित हैं. उन में दुलोक आदि तीनों लोक स्थित हैं एवं जिन में तीन स्थानों से जल टपकता है. सबके भिगोने वाले तीन प्रकार के मेघ पर्जन्य के चारों ओर जल बरसाते हैं. (४)
The perjanya devas are those in which all the Bhuvanas are located. They have all the three lokas located in them like Dulok etc. and in which water drips from three places. There are three types of cloud-soaking water all around the rain. (4)

इ॒दं वचः॑ प॒र्जन्या॑य स्व॒राजे॑ हृ॒दो अ॒स्त्वन्त॑रं॒ तज्जु॑जोषत् । म॒यो॒भुवो॑ वृ॒ष्टयः॑ सन्त्व॒स्मे सु॑पिप्प॒ला ओष॑धीर्दे॒वगो॑पाः ॥ (५)
स्वयं प्रदीप्त पर्जन्य के निमित्त यह स्तोत्र बनाया गया है. पर्जन्य यह स्तोत्र स्वीकार करें. यह उनके मन को भावे. हमारा सुख निर्माण करने वाली वर्षा हो. पर्जन्यों द्वारा सुरक्षित ओषधियां फलवती हों. (५)
This hymn has been created for the purpose of self-illuminated rain. Accept this hymn. It's in their minds. Let it be rain that makes us happy. The drugs protected by the parasites are fruitful. (5)

स रे॑तो॒धा वृ॑ष॒भः शश्व॑तीनां॒ तस्मि॑न्ना॒त्मा जग॑तस्त॒स्थुष॑श्च । तन्म॑ ऋ॒तं पा॑तु श॒तशा॑रदाय यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभिः॒ सदा॑ नः ॥ (६)
वे पर्जन्य अनेक ओषधियों के लिए बैल के समान वीर्य धारण करते हैं. स्थावर और जंगम की आत्मा पर्जन्य में ही स्थित है. पर्जन्य द्वारा बरसाया हुआ जल सौ वर्ष तक जीवित रहने के लिए मेरी रक्षा करे. हे देवो! तुम कल्याणसाधनों द्वारा हमारी सदा रक्षा करो. (६)
They hold semen like a bull for many of the skin-borne drugs. The soul of the immovable and movable is located in the perzanya itself. May the rained water protect me to survive for a hundred years. Oh, God! You always protect us by means of welfare. (6)
