यजुर्वेद:
ताऽअ॑स्य॒ सूद॑दोहसः॒ सोम॑ꣳ श्रीणन्ति॒ पृश्न॑यः। जन्म॑न् दे॒वानां॒ विश॑स्त्रि॒ष्वा रो॑च॒ने दि॒वः ॥ (५५)
स्वर्गलोक से जो जल मिलता है, उस से सोम शोभा पाते हैं. देवों के जन्मजन्म और प्रत्येक यज्ञ में यह सोम इस स्वर्गिक जल से परिपक्व होता है. (५५)
Soma gets beauty from the water that he receives from heaven. In the birth of the gods and in every yajna, this Soma matures with this heavenly water. (55)
