ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
यद॒द्य सू॑र्य॒ ब्रवोऽना॑गा उ॒द्यन्मि॒त्राय॒ वरु॑णाय स॒त्यम् । व॒यं दे॑व॒त्रादि॑ते स्याम॒ तव॑ प्रि॒यासो॑ अर्यमन्गृ॒णन्तः॑ ॥ (१)
हे सूर्य देव! आज उदय होते हुए तुम यदि हमें सब देवों के मध्य पापरहित कहो तो हे दीनतारहित सूर्य! हम मित्र व वरुण के लिए वास्तव में निष्पाप हो जाएंगे. हे अर्यमा! हम तुम्हारी स्तुति करते हुए सबके प्रिय हों. (१)
O Sun God! Today, as you rise, if you call us sinless among all gods, o sun without humbleness! We will be really useless to the friend and Varun. O Aryama! May we praise you and be dear to all. (1)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
ए॒ष स्य मि॑त्रावरुणा नृ॒चक्षा॑ उ॒भे उदे॑ति॒ सूर्यो॑ अ॒भि ज्मन् । विश्व॑स्य स्था॒तुर्जग॑तश्च गो॒पा ऋ॒जु मर्ते॑षु वृजि॒ना च॒ पश्य॑न् ॥ (२)
हे मित्र व वरुण! ये ही मानवों के देखने वाले सूर्य द्यावा-पृथिवी की ओर उदित होते हैं. सूर्य सब स्थावर एवं गतिशील प्राणियों के पालनकर्ता हैं तथा मानवों में पाप और पुण्य देखते हैं. (२)
Oh my friend and Varun! These are the ones that rise towards the sun diva-earth that humans see. The Sun is the sustainer of all real and moving beings and sees sin and virtue in human beings. (2)

अयु॑क्त स॒प्त ह॒रितः॑ स॒धस्था॒द्या ईं॒ वह॑न्ति॒ सूर्यं॑ घृ॒ताचीः॑ । धामा॑नि मित्रावरुणा यु॒वाकुः॒ सं यो यू॒थेव॒ जनि॑मानि॒ चष्टे॑ ॥ (३)
हे मित्र व वरुण! सूर्य ने अंतरिक्ष में हरे रंग के सात घोड़ों को अपने रथ में जोता है. जल प्रदान करने वाले वे घोड़े सूर्य को ढोते हैं. तुम दोनों की अभिलाषा करने वाले सूर्य उदित होकर लोकों एवं प्राणियों को इस प्रकार देखते हैं, जिस प्रकार ग्वाला गायों के समूह को देखता है. (३)
Oh my friend and Varun! The sun plows seven green horses in space in its chariot. Those horses that provide water carry the sun. The sun that desires both of you rises and sees the people and beings in this way that the gwala sees a group of cows. (3)

उद्वां॑ पृ॒क्षासो॒ मधु॑मन्तो अस्थु॒रा सूर्यो॑ अरुहच्छु॒क्रमर्णः॑ । यस्मा॑ आदि॒त्या अध्व॑नो॒ रद॑न्ति मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा वरु॑णः स॒जोषाः॑ ॥ (४)
हे मित्र व वरुण! तुम दोनों के लिए अन्न एवं मीठे पुरोडाश तैयार किए गए थे. सूर्य दीप्तिशाली अंतरिक्ष में आरोहण करते हैं एवं मित्र, अर्यमा व वरुण समान प्रीति वाले होकर उनके लिए मार्ग निश्चित करते हैं. (४)
Oh my friend and Varun! Food and sweet purodash were prepared for both of you. The Sun ascends into the bright space and friends, Aryama and Varuna, having equal love, decide the way for them. (4)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
इ॒मे चे॒तारो॒ अनृ॑तस्य॒ भूरे॑र्मि॒त्रो अ॑र्य॒मा वरु॑णो॒ हि सन्ति॑ । इ॒म ऋ॒तस्य॑ वावृधुर्दुरो॒णे श॒ग्मासः॑ पु॒त्रा अदि॑ते॒रद॑ब्धाः ॥ (५)
ये मित्र, वरुण और अर्यमा अधिक पाप के नाशक हैं. सुखकारक, अपराजित एवं अदितिपुत्र ये सब यज्ञभवन में वृद्धि प्राप्त करते हैं. (५)
These friends, Varuna and Aryama, are the destroyers of more sin. The sukhakari, the aparajita and the sons of Aditi all achieve an increase in the yagna bhavana. (5)

इ॒मे मि॒त्रो वरु॑णो दू॒ळभा॑सोऽचे॒तसं॑ चिच्चितयन्ति॒ दक्षैः॑ । अपि॒ क्रतुं॑ सु॒चेत॑सं॒ वत॑न्तस्ति॒रश्चि॒दंहः॑ सु॒पथा॑ नयन्ति ॥ (६)
ये आदित्य, मित्र और वरुण किसी से हारने वाले नहीं हैं. ये अपनी शक्ति से ज्ञानरहित को भीज्ञानी बना देते हैं एवं यज्ञकर्ता तथा शोभनज्ञान वाले के पास पहुंचकर उसके पाप का नाश करते हुए उत्तम मार्ग पर ले जाते हैं. (६)
These Aditya, friends and Varun are not going to lose to anyone. They make the unscientific by their power and approach the yajnakar and the one who is blessed with knowledge and lead them to the best path, destroying his sin. (6)
ऋग्वेद (मंडल 7)
इ॒मे दि॒वो अनि॑मिषा पृथि॒व्याश्चि॑कि॒त्वांसो॑ अचे॒तसं॑ नयन्ति । प्र॒व्रा॒जे चि॑न्न॒द्यो॑ गा॒धम॑स्ति पा॒रं नो॑ अ॒स्य वि॑ष्पि॒तस्य॑ पर्षन् ॥ (७)
ये मित्रादि पृथ्वी एवं अंतरिक्ष के प्राणियों को सर्वदा जानते हुए अज्ञानी व्यक्तियों को यज्ञकर्म में प्रेरित करते हैं. इनकी सामर्थ्य से नदी के नीचे गहराई में भी धरातल होता है. ये हमें विस्तृत यज्ञकर्म के पार पहुंचाते हैं. (७)
These friends, knowing the creatures of the earth and space all the time, inspire ignorant people in yajnakarma. Their power also leads to the surface in the depths of the river. These lead us beyond elaborate yajnakarma. (7)

यद्गो॒पाव॒ददि॑तिः॒ शर्म॑ भ॒द्रं मि॒त्रो यच्छ॑न्ति॒ वरु॑णः सु॒दासे॑ । तस्मि॒न्ना तो॒कं तन॑यं॒ दधा॑ना॒ मा क॑र्म देव॒हेळ॑नं तुरासः ॥ (८)
अर्यमा, मित्र एवं वरुण हव्यदाता यजमान को रक्षासाधनों से युक्त एवं कल्याणकारी सुख देते हैं, उसी सुख के साथ हम पुत्र-पौत्रों को धारण करते हुए कोई ऐसा कर्म न करें जो बुम शीघ्रता करने वाले देवों को नाराज कर दे. (८)
Aryama, friends and Varuna give the husband a welfare pleasure with protective means and welfare, with the same happiness, we should not do any action while holding on to the sons and grandsons that will make the gods who are quick to be offended. (8)
